KNOOTT: “I was born in Moscow in the summer of 1987 during time, known as “perestroika”. Since childhood I was fascinated by theatre, and at various times was involved in performance, journalism and partymaking.
I graduated “Management in music show business” course in University, and later was invited to work for a famous nightclub in Moscow.
After my child was born I had to quit the world of nightlife temporarily and decided to move to Goa.
In Goa I was happy to find a whole art community – creative open-minded people whose talents were embodied, often not having professional education and any experience, guided by the call of their hearts. This was just something that I missed living in a megapolis.”

KNOOTT: “Samaya Gorgona is a brand of clothing for freaky people. Who are my customers?.. I can only tell they are all very crazy. Maybe some of the weirdest folk you can find around. In a positive way, of course. They are very gentle and fragile. They are harmless and sexy. They love to experiment. And they are upstarts. They stand out. They are fearless. Shameless. And they believe in Love.”
